spending money

just a couple of quick questions.yove probably answered them before but ive never been to bulgaria so any info much appreciated.how much spending money will two adults need for two weeks self catering.roughly.im goig with my teenage son who eats like an adult.should i book excursions through balkan or are there better deals when you get there.any reccomendations on who to use much appriciated

We used Balkan Holidays for their excursions and felt the prices were good, when I looked at other agencies the prices seemed to be about the same. With Balkan you get a guide who speaks good English and are knowledgeable about their subject and would say we enjoyed the trips we did and had no complaints.

thats what ithought at least you have a reputable company if anything goes wrong.could you also tell me if the bisser apartments are central and did you feel safe enough.i think i wouldnt worry so much if my husband was coming (he has to work).wouldnt like to be in a really quiet area either thanks

The Bisser apartments are very central in SB, right beside the Hotel Diamond.

There is a thread on this forum about them.

We always go for 2 weeks and usually take £1000 between us. That keeps us in meals, evenings out and gifts although we don%26#39;t do the trips. We have never ran short.

To give you an idea about cost of trips with Balkan

Day trips between £25 and £31

Evening events £21 - £29

Sea and Sports £28 - £36

This is for adults children cheaper

Took £900 for 2 weeks, and came back with around 40, that includes some food (around 8 meals), drink and some gifts.

took £1000 last year for 2 weeks selfcatering came back with £400, we ate out most night, hired a car and did trips bargain for £600 for 2 weeks

hi sue how many people were in your party if you only spent £600 sounds really cheap cant wait to go much better reviews about SB was a wee bit worried about holiday will go and have a great time

there is only the 2 of us, we just could not spend our money there
