Sofia to Split../...Bucharest?

I am traveling from Prague to Sofia by bus on the 19th of October and we are leaving the 25th of October. We are debating on whether to go to Bucharest or Split. I know they are both totally different places, but we are wondering which would be easier to reach. And on the 28th we have to catch a bus back to Prague. So there are many complications in our trip.

Any recommendations would help.

Thanks

... assuming you have to drop on the bus to Prague from Sofia (you didn%26#39;t specify)...

As per my knowledge (I shall admit it%26#39;s not sufficient about Split), you can%26#39;t reach Split by train, not transfers are provided (unless included in tourist packages). Bus looks the only option.

Going to Bucharest provides you more options vs Split

You can do it by either airplane (~1 hour w/o airport formalities; ~150 Euro one way-as of June/August 2007),

train (not recommended), bus, hired car (with or w/o driver). Combining bus Sofia-Ruse with transfer Ruse-Bucharest via local taxi (some local companies are specialized on this) is also possible.

The company cited in the previous post (which will probably be deleted as unauthorized advertisement) is one of the many similar providing transfers to/from Bucharest.

Overall, no, there are no complications in your trip. Just search, choose type of travel and then- the certain carrier
