I was wondering if anyone can advise me on hiring a car from bourgas airport or recommend a company i can hire a car , I will be travelling with 3 adults and 2 children and I am heading to Aheloy which isnt too far from the airport as we have just purchased a villa there , I know we are roughtly 10-15 mins from airport and 30 mins from sunny beach , I travelled out last year but on a packaged holiday so transfers were included , this will be my 1st time to drive in bulgaria , little nervous with it being the opposite side to our roads
Any advise and is the roads into sunny beach itself very straight forward or am i better organising airport transfers

its a bit hairaising driving in bulgaria you might be better getting a taxi HHB are pretty good

hi there you should get a taxi for about 40 Leva, from the airport. Yes driving is quite a thing due to overtaking and the chicken effect!!!!. There is a very good bus service however please be aware of pick pockets on the buses, we met a lady on the flight on the way home that had her purse taken on the bus.

The driving is not that bad,just different.There are a lot of car hire companys in bulgaria and also with a car you can explore the place more.
