elenite sunny beach

hi

3 weeks to go whats the best to take cash or credit cards were stoping in an a apartment which has a safe anybody knows how much we should take a couple with a teenager and any recomendations really looking forward to it even with all the bad press a holiday is what you make it mark

Definately take cash, clean, unmarked or torn £20/£10 notes and only exchange them in a bank or CROWN exchange ( any other is a legal rip off ).

Credit cards are not widely accepted in Bulgaria and getting money out on them is expensive.

Best of all is a Nationwide flex account card for use in ATM%26#39;s. Absolutely no charges whatsoever and they give the highest exchange rate available.

You don%26#39;t say how long you are going for. Are you planning any excursions?

Don%26#39;t take all the bad press to heart. As you will read going thru%26#39; the threads there are a lot more poitives than negatives.

Where are you staying?

Elenite is a very quiet place and mostly All Inclusive in the Village complex.

St. Vlas is just down the road and Sunny Beach a short bus ride away. ( 4 miles )

Local bus runs regular but watch out for pickpockets on buses.

Most of the places I know for good food are in SB, just beside where the bus drops you off at the Hotel Kuban/market place. They are Djanny%26#39;s, Condor and Fara. Also Forest Hut, Malina%26#39;s and Arizona Steak House.

For excursions a must visit is Nessebar, lovely fish restaurants, very olde world with its cobbled streets and wooden houses. It%26#39;s also cheaper than SB.

Strange thing you will see is photographs of people pinned to doors or trees outside. These are the people from the property who have died.

You can get the bus direct from Elenite to Nessebar( get off at terminal ) only costs 1 lev.

Would also recommend a visit to Khan%26#39;s Tent which is a restaurant with a floorshow. ( singers, dancers, acrobats etc. ) You can book direct which is better than thru%26#39; a travel rep.

LOL Toonman - had to read your post twice. Wondered why they would pin dead people to trees and take their photos!
