hi just booked a holiday to hotel meridian in aug. wondering if someone could give me some info. never been to bulgaria before also what is best to take money wise english money or travellers checks going for 2 weeks. many thanks

As for money do not take traveller cheques as you will pay up to 10% commission. By far best is to take a Nationwide Flex Account card. They do not charge you a single penny for drawing money out and give the best exchange rate going without charge and there are plenty of ATM%26#39;s in the resort.
Next best is clean, unmarked( no writing ) or torn £20/£10 notes. Providing you use the banks or CROWN Exchange booths ( no oher type ) you won%26#39;t be charged.
Current rate in banks in resort is 2.45 lev Nationwide today 2.50 ( in the UK it is about 2.20 )
