Hi, We are driving through Bulgaria and Romania to get to Thassos in September and have heard a few horror stories.

We are looking for any advise to make the journey safe and enjoyable.

What horror stories in particular have you heard of?

Hi Toonman,

Mostly about car jackings and corrupt police extorting fines ect.

We also have slight concerns about the road condititons in Romania.

There also is a distint shortage of detailed mapping for the areas we can get by with main road maps but it would be nicer to have better information.
