Going to Bulgaria in two weeks is it better to take english notes or traveller cheques to exchange there. If travellers cheque euro or sterling,

Do not take traveller cheques as you will pay up to 10% in commission.
Take clean, unmarked or torn sterling £20/£10 notes and exchange them at any of the banks or CROWN exchanges only.( No commission ) These will give you the best rate. Hotels will also change but at a lower rate.
Whatever you do DO NOT change money with anyone on the street or a change booth without a big blue crown on top. Anything else and you will get ripped off as what they offer as an exchange rate is not what you will get.
