Here is a copy of my report when me and my girlfriend stayed in the Royal Barcelo in Oct 2007. Get a pool view if you can, you will not be disappointed with your choice of hotel.

Stayed here 18 OCT - 23 OCT for property investment. This hotel seems to be open all year around whilst most others shut down. We ate in the A La carte restaurant every night as their were not enough guests for the buffet. The food was excellent. If you stay here during the busy season (and I suggest you do) then try the A La Carte restaurant at least once....go for the Duck or Tenderloin Steak it is superb.

The Spa was not open when we were their, but the indoor pool was, as was the gym. Both excellent. The staff were very helpful and spoke very good English.

EVERYONE in Sunny Beach appreciated the fact if you try to speak a little Bulgarian even though they speak/understand English very well. TRY IT!!

I would definitely stay here again and have no doubt as more people visit it will climb higher than the 13th position it is at now in popularity.

There are cheaper hotels in Sunny Beach, but if you want nice surroundings, a bit of class, central location then book in here.
