Oh my God, I was just reading your reply to a topic when I saw what happened to you on this bicycle type tranport. The exact same thing happened to me %26amp; my boyfriend. When we asked him how much He definitly said 15 lev %26amp; when we got to our hotel he said 50 lev. I was actually beginging to doubt myself thinking maybe he did say 50 but from your experience I know he must have tried to cheat us as well.

We only gave him 40 lev but he was trying to get money from me %26amp; kept pointing at my handbag!! It was very stressful as I thought my boyfriend might loose his patience with him. We were actually going to tip the man because we though 15 lev was a fair price but when we realised he was trying to con us,we were angry %26amp;got away with giving him 40 lev (which is still double the price of a taxi!) %26amp; walked off quicky.

So anyone reading this, take our advise 7 DO NOT use these however tempting they may look.....

I am so sorry to hear that it also happened to you. As I mentioned previously we thought it happened because we were two females late at night and no one around. Seems to be a scam with them. Did he point to black marker pen written really small on the canopy that said 50 lev? He also get saying do you not understand english?? Thank goodness I was able to send my daughter to the hotel for the security. Now that I am home I will just chalk it up to experience but would not want anyone else to go through it.

YES he showed us the TINY sign in black marker on the back sayin 50 lev %26amp; my boyfriend wiped it off!!!

I was talkin to my cousin yesterday who stayed in the Victoria Palace last year %26amp; the same thing happened to a group of them.(He wanted 25 lev per person)

Lets all pass on the word to anyone going.

BOYCOTT the rickshaws, if no-one uses them they%26#39;ll soon get the message.

Thanks so much for the info on the Rickshaws. We%26#39;re due to go on Saturday and would normally have used them as we do in Dublin! Will definately stay well clear. Thanks to all for pointing out this horrid scam!
