Travel from Sunnybeach to Bansko.

Hello,

I am travelling to Sunny beach in a couple of weeks and want to visit Bansko for a day while I am there. I had considered travelling bty Train but as far as I can make out from the web site it is a 10 hour trip !!!! I believe it is a 6 hour drive so find it hard to understand how it takes 10 hours by train ? Is this correct ?

I have a 4 year old so dont want to go by bus. My only option is driving but I am a bit aprenhesive, I have drivedn abroad before but have some concerns about sinage etc. The drive would not bother me its the possibility of getting lost that worries me. Has anyone made this trip ? Have you uset a Sat Nav in the car , if so was it helpfull ?

Any advive or comment would be much appricated.

Thanks,

Gunner.

Hi Gunner, You would not make it in a day by train.

The train leaves Bourgas at 6.50am and doesn%26#39;t arrive until 5.48pm ( Have to change once going and twice coming back )

The roads in Bulgaria are not so good and caution is advised. If you have a sat nav you should be ok as you can purchase Bulgarian maps for them.

I would advise not driving at night as some people in the countryside don%26#39;t know the meaning of headlights.

Hi Toonman,

Thanks for your reply. It looks as though my only real option is to drive. I have not made up my mind yet wheather to try it or not, I%26#39;ll prob wait till I get to Sunny beach and decide then.

Thanks again.
