Hi Phil. Very glad you enjoyed yourself. I too only use this hotel ( back there in 5 weeks ).
Don%26#39;t forget to put a review on the hotel section.
We were in GS last year staying in the Iberostar Obzor/Izgrev. Superb service and standards there too.
When we got back sent an e-mail to manager thanking him and received a very nice reply back.

Just returned yesterday after 2 weeks in the Iberostar and have to say it the best hotel i have ever stayed in.The standard of the hotel is very high and the food is exceptionally good....far better than any resturant i have eaten in at sunny beach. The entertainment team work very hard and they are a great bunch of lads and lasses....wish i was back there already!!!

Here goes folks!!
Arrived later after missing take-off slot at manchester and boy was it hot when we got off the plane.
Straight through customs and on to our hotel.Well the IBEROSTAR ...what a fabulous hotel!!The hotel was spotless clean and they were still cleaning and sweeping into the early hours.Staff were very friendly and the entertainment team were exceptional!!!,they are a set of lads and lasses who work so hard to ensure everyone has a good time.
The food was unbelievably good ( my waistline will vouch for that...god i feel fat). For breakfast there were 8 different cereals, fresh fruit, tinned fruit and every dried fruit you could think of,bowls of seeds and nuts and differnt flavour yoghurts, eggs cooked 5 ways ,fresh omlettes cooked while you wait.Evening meals were the same...choice of 8 main courses with all the trimmings even a whole fresh salmon...anyway enough about the food could write a report about that alone.
Ate out only once as the standard of the food in the hotel was far higher than any resturant i have eaten in...went to Djannys and felt the standard had slipped a bit,so didnt go again.
The weather was very ,very hot and one of the days it was 92 at 10.30 n the morning, rained twice once in the morning, which lasted a couple of hours and then was red hot. Then it rained one night, just as we were setting off out and boy did it rain....so we ran into nearest supermarket ,grabbed bottle of vodka and coke and had a pleasant evening on the balcony.
Sunny B each was absolutely heaving...never seen it as busy and was the strip was full of young lads and lasses. We tended to stay off the strip most ot the time as it took so long to get through the crowds of people.
Prices in Condor bar(at side of Condor resturant)were very cheap....large vodka...large being 100mls ..and coke 2.80 lev.,so got quite hammered!!Also drank in Tropicana which was more expensive...18 levs for 2 large vodka and cokes...still cheaper than here and we sat on upstairs terrace overlooking the sea with the sea breeze on our faces...so that more than made up for the price. Also had a few nights in Globus, all local spirits, wine ,beer and cocktails were buy one get one free.
Didnt witness or hear of any crime..although we were approached by a gypsy beggar boy who tried to get his hands in eddies shot pockets...but other than that nothing at all, still get the guys asking to change money..they must still be making a living from it!!
Met a lot of bulgarians from over the 10 years we have ben going and it amazes me how they still remember us after all this time. The guys getting you into the bars can be a bit annoying but found if you acknowledge them they are fine....heard a few people insulting them, but at the end of the day they are only human and have job to do in very hot temperatures and sometimes they are stood there all day and night....so a simple no is enough.
Went to Nessebur on the bus 1 lev each and just the same as ever...very picturesque and very quaint.Got to say coming back on the bus 2 guys were talking about the pictures of the local people pinned on the walls and trees and one guy said to the other ...deadly serious %26quot;god i have never seen so many missing people%26quot; nearly peed my knickers
Anway thats the long and short of it....hope you enjoy reading and any questions just ask
