Barcelo Royal Beach Hotel Jimbo 16

Hi Jimbo16 the Barcelo Royal Beach Hotel is just set back off the sea front and is situated just North of the centre of Sunny Beach (the Kuban Hotel being the centre of Sunny Beach).

There are loads of bars, restaraunts and shops around the hotel and there is the main Sunny Beach Shopping Mall at the side of the hotel. Very expensive shops in the Mall. The Red Lion pub is I believe part of the Barcelo Royal Beach, live music, british beers, British food and a happy %26quot;hour%26quot; cocktails two for the price of one.

It looks a lovely hotel and has its own grounds ringed on the front with leylandi.

To walk the full length of the strip, the strip being the promenade and not the central strip that runs from the market area to the sea front would take a lot longer to walk than 15 minutes and it is full of bars, shops, restaraunts, hotels. fast food outlets and entertainment i.e. kids slides. archery stalls, shooting galleries etc etc.

The beach infront of the strip is golden sand and the sea shelves gently down. Two sunbeds and an umbrella are 18 levs, 6 levs each.

Just back from SB/ Barcelo Royal Beach is very nice and very central. Sorry sunbeds on beach 7levs each this year.

Thanks Guys! WelshLady...could you please give me a little more info on the hotel? I am there for my honeymoon in August with my wife (obviously!!!) and daughter (18mths). We have a 1 bedroom apartment, mainly so we can relax in the evenings whilst little one is a sleep. Are these nice? Any info you have about the hotel and its surrounding area would be greatfully received!

Many thanks

Hi Jimbo

Sorry Ive not stayed at the Royal Beach but as mentioned above it is in the centre. We walked past last week and they look great, in my opinion the best place in SB. There was security on the gate.

I have been in the adjoining shopping mall which opened last Summer.

I am sure you%26#39;ll have a great holiday.Dont forget a review when you return.

Hi Welshlady North Wales I must contradict your statement that sun bedas are 7 levs this year we were paying 6 levs for a sunbed this July 08 on the beach area directly in front of the Majestic. These prices were also stated on the beach information board for that stretch of the beach. I am not saying that you were not paying 7 levs on the stretch of beach you were on but it seems from what you are saying and what we were paying that there is a different pricing structure on different areas of Sunny Beach. This year we only went on the beach area in front of the Majestic. The moral here as in the price of beer shop around if you want to save yourselves some levs.

Sorry about that Maz. I didnt actually hire a beach bed during the 3 weeks we were there, I was only quoting what I was told by others.

I think YorkshireMaz answered most of your questions but as an owner of an apartment in the Royal Beach I can assure you there is plenty to do in and around the resort without needing to venture too far. There are every type of bar, restaurant, entertainment within 5 minutes of the royal beach and to top it off the beach is less than 2 minutes walk away. If you go to a search engine like google and type in royal beach bulgaria you will find a good site dedicated to the complex that shows photos, list of facilities etc. The name of the site is the 3 words listed above to put into the search engine. Enjoy your trip as I cant wait for my next visit in mid August.
